HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives and Senate are
 1-2     proud to honor Julie MacLemore for her many accomplishments and for
 1-3     her dedicated service to the Presbytery of New Covenant; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, A graduate of Agnes Scott College in Decatur,
 1-5     Georgia, and the University of Houston, Mrs. MacLemore is a member
 1-6     of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Missouri City and is
 1-7     currently enrolled at the Austin Presbyterian Theological
 1-8     Seminary's Houston Extension as a special student; she also works
 1-9     as an international tax consultant; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Mrs. MacLemore has been active with the Presbytery
1-11     of New Covenant as a general assembly commissioner, a volunteer in
1-12     mission, and a member of the general council; she has worked with
1-13     the theology and worship division and the design team and is the
1-14     current chair of the committee on preparation for ministry; and
1-15           WHEREAS, Elected by the presbytery to fulfill the duties of
1-16     stated clerk of the Presbytery of New Covenant, Mrs. MacLemore
1-17     brings notable experience and commitment to her duties; and
1-18           WHEREAS, A devoted wife and mother, she and her husband, Dan,
1-19     have a son, Daniel, and have welcomed daughter-in-law, Amber, into
1-20     their family; her many contributions to the Presbytery of New
1-21     Covenant have earned her widespread respect and admiration, and she
1-22     is truly deserving of special commendation; now, therefore, be it
1-23           RESOLVED, That the 76th Legislature of the State of Texas
1-24     hereby commend Julie MacLemore for her outstanding service as the
 2-1     Presbytery of New Covenant's stated clerk and extend to her sincere
 2-2     best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 2-3           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-4     prepared for Mrs. MacLemore as an expression of high regard by the
 2-5     Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
