HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 1-1 WHEREAS, May 10, 1999, will long be remembered by our 1-2 esteemed colleague, State Representative Kyle Janek, and his lovely 1-3 wife, Shannon Janek, for that day marked the birth of their 1-4 adorable baby boy, Ryan Edward Janek; and 1-5 WHEREAS, When it became clear that this was not merely a case 1-6 of false labor but the real event, both Janeks were reportedly 1-7 swept off their feet at the prospect of finally holding their baby 1-8 in their arms for the first time; Mrs. Janek and Ryan Edward came 1-9 through the arduous labor process with flying colors, with the baby 1-10 weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and measuring 20 inches in length when 1-11 he was born at 6:06 a.m. in Austin; though Dr. Janek sustained an 1-12 injury requiring stitches, he is reportedly feeling much better and 1-13 more than up to the task of taking on the years of roughhousing, 1-14 tickling, coaching, and comforting associated with fatherhood that 1-15 lie in his future; and 1-16 WHEREAS, The long-awaited arrival of this beloved new Texan 1-17 has brought great joy to his parents, as well as to his maternal 1-18 grandparents, Jimmy and Carolyn Riddle, and his paternal 1-19 grandparents, Eddie and Doris Janek; and 1-20 WHEREAS, Ryan will surely thrive in the loving embrace formed 1-21 by his parents, extended family, and friends--a circle that will 1-22 undoubtedly nurture this fine young Texan throughout his life; and 1-23 WHEREAS, It gives the members of the Texas Legislature great 1-24 pleasure to formally announce the birth of a new citizen of the 2-1 Lone Star State and to congratulate his parents on this joyous 2-2 occasion; now, therefore, be it 2-3 RESOLVED, That the 76th Legislature of the State of Texas 2-4 hereby officially welcome Ryan Edward Janek as a new citizen of 2-5 Texas and extend heartfelt congratulations to State Representative 2-6 Kyle Janek and Shannon Janek on the birth of their cherished son; 2-7 and, be it further 2-8 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-9 prepared for Ryan Edward Janek and his parents as an expression of 2-10 highest regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
