R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The passing of Sue Annette Rodriguez Hensley on 1-2 February 24, 1998, at the age of 56, brought a great loss to the 1-3 family and friends of this beloved woman; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Mrs. Hensley was born on February 4, 1942; she 1-5 attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana and later pursued 1-6 a career in nursing, working for the Community Hospital of 1-7 Brazosport, Angleton-Danbury Convalescent Center, Cypress Woods 1-8 Care Center, and the Angleton Independent School District; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Interested in civic concerns, Mrs. Hensley served as 1-10 a member of the Angleton City Council, was an active member of the 1-11 First Baptist Church, and hosted "Angleton Answers," a current 1-12 events program sponsored by Crown Cable T.V.; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Together with her husband, Richard Allen Hensley, 1-14 Mrs. Hensley raised a fine family of three children and delighted 1-15 in the moments spent with her family; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Sue Annette Rodriguez Hensley was a woman of great 1-17 faith and compassion, and her strength of character enabled her to 1-18 grow profoundly in her own life and to improve the lives of others; 1-19 although her presence is sorely missed, her unique spirit surely 1-20 lives on in the hearts of those who loved her; now, therefore, be 1-21 it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 1-23 Legislature hereby honor the memory of Sue Annette Rodriguez 1-24 Hensley and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: 2-1 to her husband, Richard Allen Hensley; to her daughters, Elizabeth 2-2 Hensley-Joy and Maria Patience Rose; to her son, Roy Hensley; and 2-3 to the many other relatives and friends of this esteemed woman; 2-4 and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas 2-7 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-8 Sue Annette Rodriguez Hensley.
