R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Jasmine Rogers, a student at Windermere Elementary
 1-2     School in Pflugerville, has achieved success by submitting a
 1-3     winning entry in the 1998 District 50 Holiday Artwork Display
 1-4     Competition sponsored by State Representative Dawnna Dukes; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, This talented young Texan's winning holiday artwork
 1-6     entry was honored with prominent display in the Texas Capitol
 1-7     Rotunda and was used by Representative Dukes as one of three
 1-8     designs selected for her 1998 Christmas cards; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, Jasmine Rogers's significant talent as an artist at
1-10     this young age is to be admired, encouraged, and recognized so that
1-11     it flourishes in the years to come; and
1-12           WHEREAS, Her winning holiday art entry is an impressive
1-13     achievement, for getting something done is an accomplishment, but
1-14     getting something done right is an achievement; and
1-15           WHEREAS, Jasmine Rogers has demonstrated a commitment to
1-16     achieving her full artistic potential and has distinguished herself
1-17     as a winner among the many contestants who entered the competition;
1-18     now, therefore, be it
1-19           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-20     Legislature hereby congratulate Jasmine Rogers on her winning entry
1-21     in the 1998 District 50 Holiday Artwork Display Competition and
1-22     extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
1-23     happiness; and, be it further
1-24           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-1     prepared for Jasmine Rogers as an expression of high regard by the
 2-2     Texas House of Representatives.
