No. 58 76R4833 GMW-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, On February 1, 1999, Harrell and Hazel Chapman of 1-2 Garland will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, and this 1-3 golden milestone is truly worthy of special recognition; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chapman were united in matrimony on 1-5 February 1, 1949, in Henrietta; their 50-year union has been 1-6 blessed with three children, five grandchildren, and four 1-7 great-grandchildren, and it has continued to grow in love and 1-8 respect with each passing year, enriching not only their own lives, 1-9 but the lives of those around them; and 1-10 WHEREAS, The Chapmans owned and operated a Chicken Shack 1-11 restaurant from 1950 to 1962, at which time Mr. Chapman became a 1-12 journeyman sheet metal worker for Dallas Local #25, a position he 1-13 held for 20 years until his retirement in 1982; in retirement, this 1-14 loving couple enjoy spending time with their family and are active, 1-15 valued members of the Golden Meadows Baptist Church in Garland; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Throughout half a century, Harrell and Hazel Chapman 1-17 have enjoyed a joyous marriage filled with many happy times and 1-18 cherished family memories, and it is indeed a privilege to join in 1-19 recognizing the Chapmans at this time; now, therefore, be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 1-21 Legislature hereby honor Harrell and Hazel Chapman on the occasion 1-22 of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best 1-23 wishes for continued success and happiness in the future; and, be 1-24 it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-2 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Chapman as an expression of high regard 2-3 by the Texas House of Representatives.
