                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The recent passing of Norma Linda Trevino on
 1-2     December 28, 1998, at the age of 48, has brought a great loss to
 1-3     the many relatives and friends of this beloved woman; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, An esteemed resident of Edinburg, Mrs. Trevino spent
 1-5     the past 22 years working as an educator for Edinburg School
 1-6     District and was employed at Travis Elementary School at the time
 1-7     of her passing; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, Mrs. Trevino graduated from Pan American College in
 1-9     Edinburg and maintained her commitment to her community through her
1-10     active membership with the Altar Society at St. Joseph's Catholic
1-11     Church and the Delta Kappa Gamma Society; and
1-12           WHEREAS, Known as a loving wife and mother, Mrs. Edinburg
1-13     will long be missed by those who were privileged to share her love
1-14     and friendship, and she will surely be remembered with great
1-15     affection and admiration for many years to come; now, therefore, be
1-16     it
1-17           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-18     Legislature hereby honor the memory of Norma Linda Trevino and
1-19     extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family:  to her
1-20     husband, Cris Trevino; to her son and daughter-in-law, John Michael
1-21     and Nora Trevino; to her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Denise
1-22     and Roland Gomez; to her grandchildren, John Michael Trevino, Jr.,
1-23     Michael Anthony Gomez, and Jennifer Denise Gomez; to her mother,
1-24     Fidencia Salazar; to her brother, Father Jose Angel Salazar; to her
 2-1     brothers and sisters-in-law, Javier and Norma Salazar and Victor
 2-2     and Estella Salazar; to her sister, Velma Salazar; to her
 2-3     mother-in-law, Trinidad Trevino; to her sister-in-law, Irma Bustos;
 2-4     to her nieces and nephews; and to the many other people whose lives
 2-5     were touched by this fine woman; and, be it further
 2-6           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-7     prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas
 2-8     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
 2-9     Norma Linda Trevino.
