R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Ruby J. Wimberley is retiring as president of Orange
 1-2     Savings Bank after nearly four decades of service, and she is
 1-3     indeed deserving of special recognition at this time; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Mrs. Wimberley joined Orange Savings and Loan
 1-5     Association in 1960 and worked as a loan officer and managing
 1-6     officer before starting her tenure as president; under her
 1-7     direction the bank has experienced tremendous growth and now boasts
 1-8     assets that exceed $160 million; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, This esteemed professional is presently the national
1-10     director of the America's Community Bankers organization and serves
1-11     as chairman of the members services committee; Mrs. Wimberley is
1-12     also chairman of the Texas Savings and Community Bankers
1-13     organization, an advisory director of Freddie Mac, and a member of
1-14     the Finance Commission of Texas, and she has previously served in
1-15     leadership positions with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas and
1-16     local, state, and national levels of the National Institute of
1-17     Financial Education; and
1-18           WHEREAS, Mrs. Wimberley's public-spirited nature is evidenced
1-19     by her position as an advisory director of the Beaumont State
1-20     Center, and she has lent her support and guidance to numerous other
1-21     organizations, including the Altrusa Club of Orange, the Child
1-22     Welfare Board of Orange County, the Community Services Group of
1-23     Orange County, the Orange Chamber of Commerce, and the Orange
1-24     Rotary Club; and
 2-1           WHEREAS, This noteworthy woman has been awarded accolades
 2-2     from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, for her work with
 2-3     affordable housing groups, and from the Beaumont State Center, for
 2-4     her myriad accomplishments, and her devotion to financial
 2-5     management will continue beyond her retirement, as she will remain
 2-6     on the Orange Savings Bank Board of Directors and on several state
 2-7     and national boards and committees; and
 2-8           WHEREAS, Throughout her years of service to her employer,
 2-9     community, and state, Mrs. Wimberley has been supported by her
2-10     loving husband, Jerry Wimberley, and her three sons, Mark, James,
2-11     and Robert Wimberley; in retirement, she will undoubtedly have more
2-12     time to spend with her five grandchildren, Jessica, Karaline,
2-13     Jeremy, Sydney, and Katelynn, and she looks forward to traveling
2-14     with her husband in their recreational vehicle and visiting Toledo
2-15     Bend Lake; and
2-16           WHEREAS, Ruby J. Wimberley's integrity and wisdom have helped
2-17     to make Orange Savings Bank the success it is today; numerous
2-18     Texans have benefited from her financial expertise, and it is a
2-19     privilege to join her colleagues in honoring her on this august
2-20     occasion; now, therefore, be it
2-21           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
2-22     Legislature hereby honor Ruby J. Wimberley for her outstanding
2-23     service and leadership at Orange Savings Bank and extend to her
2-24     sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
2-25     further
2-26           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-27     prepared for Mrs. Wimberley as an expression of high regard by the
 3-1     Texas House of Representatives.
