                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Lake Whitney All Branch Law Enforcement (ABLE)
 1-2     Awards Banquet will be held on February 20, 1999, and this event
 1-3     provides an opportunity to recognize a truly commendable
 1-4     organization; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, The awards banquet is an annual event that honors
 1-6     police officers for their distinguished public service; this year's
 1-7     banquet is being held at Latham Springs Baptist Encampment in Hill
 1-8     County and offers ABLE and the public the opportunity to express
 1-9     their respect and support for these brave peacekeepers; and
1-10           WHEREAS, ABLE was established to recognize the efforts of
1-11     dedicated law enforcement personnel on a city, county, state, and
1-12     national level; and
1-13           WHEREAS, Some of the many notable efforts of this
1-14     civic-minded group include raising funds to provide a scholarship
1-15     to a student located in the Hill County area and assisting the
1-16     families of officers injured in the line of duty; and
1-17           WHEREAS, The awards banquet hosted by ABLE proudly
1-18     acknowledges the men and women who make up the law enforcement
1-19     community who daily commit themselves to safeguarding the welfare
1-20     of society, and for recognizing these true humanitarian efforts it
1-21     is indeed fitting that this esteemed organization be honored at
1-22     this time; now, therefore, be it
1-23           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-24     Legislature hereby recognize Lake Whitney All Branch Law
 2-1     Enforcement on the occasion of its 1999 awards banquet and extend
 2-2     to the group's members sincere best wishes for a successful and
 2-3     memorable event; and, be it further
 2-4           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-5     prepared for the Lake Whitney ABLE as an expression of high regard
 2-6     by the Texas House of Representatives.
