R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The members of the Rule High School Bobcats six-man 1-2 football team demonstrated their formidable athletic talents in an 1-3 outstanding 1998 season and it is indeed fitting to pay tribute to 1-4 them at this time; and 1-5 WHEREAS, The guidance and skill of Head Coach Paul Page and 1-6 his coaching staff ably led the Bobcats squad to a 10-2 record; 1-7 they earned the distinction of bi-district winners as they defeated 1-8 Witharral High School 26-23 and advanced to the area round of the 1-9 playoffs; and 1-10 WHEREAS, During the 1998 campaign the mighty Bobcats offense 1-11 averaged more than 50 points per game, while their stingy defense 1-12 held opponents to an average of less than 24; these stellar 1-13 statistics on both sides of the ball are an apt reflection of the 1-14 many hours of hard work and training put forth by the entire 1-15 Bobcats squad; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Team members include Joe Sotelo, Josh Smith, Grant 1-17 Hisey, Brian Lehrmann, Justin Coker, Bobby Flores, Cody Tibbets, 1-18 Berto Sotelo, Jay Louder, Jeremy Hertel, Michael Hunt, Richie 1-19 Culpepper, Mike Casey, Rafael Huerta, and Eric Robinson; and 1-20 WHEREAS, The dedication and competitive spirit of all the 1-21 members of the Rule High School six-man football team are truly 1-22 commendable, and for their exceptional 1998 gridiron performance 1-23 they are indeed worthy of special recognition; now, therefore, be 1-24 it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 2-2 Legislature hereby honor the members of the Rule High School 2-3 Bobcats six-man football team for their impressive accomplishments 2-4 during the 1998 season and extend to them sincere best wishes for 2-5 continued success; and, be it further 2-6 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-7 prepared for the Rule Bobcats as an expression of high regard by 2-8 the Texas House of Representatives.
