R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, On February 15, 1999, Lisa Wiley, Andea Sexton,
 1-2     Kerbye Ragsdale, Natalia Leon, Teryl Henderson, Hayley Gray, and
 1-3     Melissa Glomb of Girl Scout Troop 616 in Buda will travel to the
 1-4     State Capitol to participate in the Honorary Page Program; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, This unique program allows young Texans to assist
 1-6     the staff of the house chief sergeant's office in performing tasks
 1-7     for legislators, providing these volunteers with an ideal
 1-8     opportunity to observe their state government in action; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, After completing their service as honorary pages,
1-10     they will return to Buda to share their experiences with family and
1-11     friends and will also continue to serve their community as members
1-12     of the Girl Scouts of America; and
1-13           WHEREAS, By taking an active role in the governmental
1-14     process, these dedicated young women serve as an inspiration to
1-15     their friends and fellow students, and it is indeed appropriate
1-16     that they be honored for their efforts at this time; now,
1-17     therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby commend Lisa Wiley, Andea Sexton, Kerbye
1-20     Ragsdale, Natalia Leon, Teryl Henderson, Hayley Gray, and Melissa
1-21     Glomb for their participation in the Honorary Page Program and
1-22     extend to them sincere best wishes for an enjoyable visit to the
1-23     State Capitol; and, be it further
1-24           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-1     prepared for these outstanding young women as an expression of high
 2-2     regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
