R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Moses Suarez of San Juan has been named a top
 1-2     student volunteer in The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, a
 1-3     nationwide program recognizing young people for outstanding
 1-4     community service, and this event indeed merits special legislative
 1-5     recognition and praise; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, Mr. Suarez is a junior at the South Texas High
 1-7     School for Health Professions in Mercedes and he has volunteered
 1-8     more than 2,000 hours at the McAllen Heart Hospital, providing a
 1-9     wide variety of services, including his role as coordinator of the
1-10     hospital's student volunteers; and
1-11           WHEREAS, The Prudential Insurance Company of America jointly
1-12     sponsors the awards in partnership with the National Association of
1-13     Secondary School Principals to highlight the work of the many
1-14     youths who are deeply committed to their community and their
1-15     country; and
1-16           WHEREAS,  Mr. Suarez   is  a sterling  example of the
1-17     positive enthusiasm and dedication inherent in this nation's young
1-18     people and it is indeed a pleasure to honor him at this time; now,
1-19     therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby congratulate Moses Suarez on being named a
1-22     Distinguished Finalist for The Prudential Spirit of Community
1-23     Awards in Texas and extend to him warm best wishes for even greater
1-24     success and happiness in the future; and, be it further
 2-1           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-2     prepared for Mr. Suarez as an expression of high regard by the
 2-3     Texas House of Representatives.
