R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, January 31, 1999, is indeed a special day for Kevin
1-2 Robert Peska and Sharon Pamela Clark, for on this day they will be
1-3 united in marriage and begin their new life together as husband and
1-4 wife; and
1-5 WHEREAS, The son of Mrs. Andrea Peska and the late Dr. Allen
1-6 Peska, Mr. Peska earned his bachelor of arts degree in history from
1-7 the University of Florida in Gainesville; after graduating from
1-8 George Washington University with a doctorate of jurisprudence,
1-9 Mr. Peska embarked on a career as a lawyer for the U.S. Patent and
1-10 Trademark Office; and
1-11 WHEREAS, The lovely bride-to-be is the daughter of Alvin and
1-12 Betty Clark; after graduating from the University of Arizona with a
1-13 bachelor of arts in sociology, Ms. Clark proceeded to the
1-14 University of Houston and garnered a master's degree in social
1-15 work; she currently works for the Hebrew Home in Rockville,
1-16 Maryland; and
1-17 WHEREAS, This adoring couple will be married at the Junior
1-18 League of Houston, with Rabbi Howard Sieger and Cantor Steve Berke
1-19 officiating; the momentous event will take place on Super Bowl
1-20 Sunday, a sure sign of the depth of their love and the strength of
1-21 their commitment, given the fact that Mr. Peska is defined by his
1-22 friends as a "sports nut"; and
1-23 WHEREAS, Since their first meeting, the relationship between
1-24 Mr. Peska and Ms. Clark has continued to grow in love, respect, and
2-1 lasting regard for each other, and it is indeed fitting that this
2-2 fortunate pair be congratulated on the joyous celebration of their
2-3 marriage; now, therefore, be it
2-4 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
2-5 Legislature hereby congratulate Kevin Robert Peska and Sharon
2-6 Pamela Clark on the happy occasion of their wedding and extend to
2-7 them warmest best wishes for a lifetime of happiness together; and,
2-8 be it further
2-9 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-10 prepared for Mr. Peska and Ms. Clark as an expression of high
2-11 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
