R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, The Plano Indian Lions Club has established itself
1-2 as a vital and valued humanitarian organization and its many
1-3 worthwhile endeavors are indeed deserving of special praise and
1-4 recognition; and
1-5 WHEREAS, Chartered on May 6, 1995, the Plano Indian Lions
1-6 Club is a part of the Lions Clubs International, and its
1-7 civic-minded members are committed to creating and fostering a
1-8 spirit of international understanding, promoting the principles of
1-9 good government and citizenship, and taking an active interest in
1-10 the welfare of the community; and
1-11 WHEREAS, These philanthropic citizens have donated their time
1-12 and talents to many notable organizations, including the Low Vision
1-13 Clinic, Samaritan Inn, Austin Shelter, and Volunteer Nurses of
1-14 America, and have participated in community projects and
1-15 initiatives such as highway cleanups and clothing and monetary
1-16 donations; and
1-17 WHEREAS, The members of the Plano Indian Lions Club have for
1-18 several years distinguished themselves as community leaders by
1-19 their dedication to their fellow citizens, and it is indeed fitting
1-20 at this time to honor their impressive efforts; now, therefore, be
1-21 it
1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-23 Legislature hereby recognize the Plano Indian Lions Club for its
1-24 outstanding contributions to the community and extend to its
2-1 members sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in
2-2 the years to come; and, be it further
2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-4 prepared for the Plano Indian Lions Club as an expression of high
2-5 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
