R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Holiman Elementary School students Nathan John Webb,
 1-2     Blake Van Richard Williams, and Christopher Daniel Bosma were
 1-3     accorded a great honor recently when they were named state award
 1-4     winners by the Texas Computer Educators Association for their
 1-5     design of a computer web page depicting life in San Angelo; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, For their collaborative effort, which exemplifies
 1-7     initiative, cooperation, and creativity, these talented team
 1-8     members will receive a prize on February 16, 1999, at the Texas
 1-9     Computer Educators Association Conference in Austin; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Nathan, Blake, and Christopher will be accompanied
1-11     to the conference by their parents, Robert and Deborah Webb, John
1-12     and Kim Carter, and William and Lora Powell, as well as by their
1-13     principal, Elaine Steinbrunner, and their teacher, Ricky Eades; and
1-14           WHEREAS, The students' outstanding web page includes local
1-15     landmarks, information about the area, and links to various other
1-16     web sites; using the "Power Point" computer program, the youngsters
1-17     designed their contest entry unassisted last fall, and their
1-18     first-place win in a local computer technology competition
1-19     qualified them for state level consideration; and
1-20           WHEREAS, All of these remarkable young men spend a
1-21     considerable amount of time working with their home computers, and
1-22     all three belong to a troubleshooting team at school, performing
1-23     such tasks as installing printers and setting up computer monitors
1-24     for teachers and other staff members; and
 2-1           WHEREAS, By embracing the burgeoning field of computer
 2-2     technology, Nathan John Webb, Blake Van Richard Williams, and
 2-3     Christopher Daniel Bosma have set an inspiring example for their
 2-4     friends, fellow students, and community to follow; these young
 2-5     individuals have placed themselves on the pathway to future
 2-6     success, and the members of this chamber are proud to honor such
 2-7     deserving young men; now, therefore, be it
 2-8           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
 2-9     Legislature hereby congratulate Nathan John Webb, Blake Van Richard
2-10     Williams, and Christopher Daniel Bosma on their award-winning San
2-11     Angelo web page; and, be it further
2-12           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-13     prepared for each of these fine young Texans as an expression of
2-14     high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
