R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, On February 26, 1999, the Honorable Fred Brown will
1-2 celebrate his 45th birthday, and he is indeed worthy of special
1-3 legislative recognition at this time; and
1-4 WHEREAS, Born in Germany, Representative Brown spent his
1-5 formative years in Mineral Wells, where he learned what it means to
1-6 be a Texan; and
1-7 WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Bryan-College Station, this
1-8 noteworthy gentleman has served his fellow citizens for the better
1-9 part of 20 years through a variety of philanthropic efforts and he
1-10 is currently serving his first term as a state representative,
1-11 representing his constituents with dignity and grace in the Texas
1-12 Legislature; and
1-13 WHEREAS, Representative Brown and his wife, Jane, have two
1-14 daughters, Hayley and Kelly, and this close-knit family has earned
1-15 the respect and admiration of their friends and neighbors; and
1-16 WHEREAS, Representative Brown has benefited the Bryan-College
1-17 Station community in countless ways, and it is indeed a privilege
1-18 to pay tribute to this esteemed gentleman and to recognize his 45th
1-19 birthday; now, therefore, be it
1-20 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-21 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the Honorable Fred Brown on the
1-22 occasion of his 45th birthday and extend to him warmest best wishes
1-23 for a memorable celebration; and, be it further
1-24 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-1 prepared for Representative Brown as an expression of highest
2-2 regard by his colleagues in the Texas House of Representatives.
