R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, For the past 23 years Gracie Beane has served the 1-2 citizens of Converse as assistant city manager, and upon the 1-3 occasion of her retirement it is indeed appropriate to recognize 1-4 her for her exceptional service; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Ms. Beane has left an indelible mark at the office 1-6 of the city manager through her steadfast dedication and commitment 1-7 to the people of Converse, and she is known throughout the city for 1-8 her care and concern for the less fortunate; and 1-9 WHEREAS, In addition to her employment as the assistant city 1-10 manager, Ms. Beane volunteered countless hours of her time and 1-11 distinguished herself through her generous acts; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Gracie Beane has left a legacy of excellence for the 1-13 citizens of Converse, and although her wisdom, compassion, and 1-14 integrity will be greatly missed by her colleagues, her many years 1-15 of dutiful service will not soon be forgotten; now, therefore, be 1-16 it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th 1-18 Legislature of the State of Texas hereby commend Gracie Beane for 1-19 her outstanding term of office as the assistant city manager of 1-20 Converse and extend to her sincere best wishes for many years of 1-21 continued happiness in the days of her retirement; and, be it 1-22 further 1-23 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-24 prepared for Gracie Beane as an expression of high regard by the 2-1 Texas House of Representatives.
