R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, For 50 years the Texas Real Estate Commission has
1-2 pursued its mission of protecting Texas' consumers, encouraging
1-3 economic growth, and assuring the public of qualified and honest
1-4 real estate professionals; and
1-5 WHEREAS, In honor of the golden anniversary of this
1-6 commendable organization, the commission is honoring those
1-7 individuals who were among the agency's original licensees and who
1-8 still hold a valid real estate broker's license; and
1-9 WHEREAS, Glover C. Tunnell, James O. Daughtry, and Truitt
1-10 Fulgham are indeed trailblazers in the history of real estate in
1-11 Texas, and their continued commitment to upholding the ideals and
1-12 achieving the goals of the Texas Real Estate Commission have earned
1-13 them the respect and admiration of the many Lone Star men and women
1-14 who are licensed real estate brokers; and
1-15 WHEREAS, These dedicated gentlemen are an example not only to
1-16 real estate agents throughout the State of Texas but also to all
1-17 Texans, for their commitment to excellence in their chosen
1-18 profession is truly inspirational; now, therefore, be it
1-19 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-20 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the Texas Real Estate
1-21 Commission's 50 years of service and recognize Glover C. Tunnell,
1-22 James O. Daughtry, and Truitt Fulgham for their vital contributions
1-23 to the establishment and subsequent success of this noteworthy
1-24 agency; and, be it further
2-1 RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
2-2 for Messrs. Tunnell, Daughtry, and Fulgham as an expression of
2-3 high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
