R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is indeed proud
 1-2     to welcome members of the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce to the
 1-3     State Capitol and pay tribute to this worthy organization for its
 1-4     contributions to that city; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Mansfield boasts a prosperous and forward-looking
 1-6     citizenry and is among the leaders in the state's phenomenal
 1-7     growth; within Tarrant County, Mansfield is the third-fastest
 1-8     growing community as well as the third largest in area, after Fort
 1-9     Worth and Arlington; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Residents of the area are justifiably proud of their
1-11     excellent schools; 80 percent of Mansfield's schools have been
1-12     rated as recognized or exemplary by the Texas Education Agency,
1-13     which has also designated Mansfield High School as a mentor school;
1-14     and
1-15           WHEREAS, The Mansfield school system has produced nine
1-16     commended national scholarship students and labors diligently to
1-17     maintain its students' excellent Texas Assessment of Academic
1-18     Skills scores; working partnerships between the school district and
1-19     National Semiconductor are models for the North Texas area; and
1-20           WHEREAS, The Mansfield Chamber of Commerce represents
1-21     citizens living in an area of explosive growth and expanding
1-22     opportunity, and Mansfield will surely continue to prosper as it
1-23     remains one of our state's leading communities; now, therefore, be
1-24     it
 2-1           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
 2-2     Legislature hereby salute the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce and
 2-3     extend warmest best wishes to members of the delegation on the
 2-4     occasion of their visit to the State Capitol; and, be it further
 2-5           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-6     prepared for the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce as an expression of
 2-7     high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
