                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to
 1-2     recognize Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4815 in San Antonio and its
 1-3     many courageous veterans and their families who have sacrificed so
 1-4     much for the cause of freedom; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Well known for their vital and valued contributions
 1-6     to their fellow Americans, these VFW members and all the brave
 1-7     veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces, many of whom
 1-8     made the ultimate sacrifice, have brought great honor to this
 1-9     nation, and without their courageous efforts, the liberties we
1-10     enjoy today might not have been possible; and
1-11           WHEREAS, The impending 100th anniversary of the VFW provides
1-12     a unique opportunity to recognize the members of Post 4815 who work
1-13     so diligently to foster national pride; in addition, their
1-14     invaluable charitable programs greatly benefit the community and
1-15     veterans in need of assistance; and
1-16           WHEREAS, Those individuals who have given of themselves in
1-17     defense of their country are truly deserving of every American's
1-18     admiration and gratitude, and it is indeed fitting at this time to
1-19     pay tribute to the many heroic veterans of VFW Post 4815; now,
1-20     therefore, be it
1-21           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-22     Legislature hereby honor the members of Veterans of Foreign Wars
1-23     Post 4815 and extend to them sincere appreciation for their
1-24     contributions to the security and well-being of their fellow
 2-1     citizens; and, be it further
 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-3     prepared for VFW Post 4815 as an expression of high regard by the
 2-4     Texas House of Representatives.
