R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Tino Duran has achieved outstanding success as
 1-2     publisher and CEO of La Prensa, and his notable contributions to
 1-3     the field of  journalism and the San Antonio Hispanic community are
 1-4     indeed worthy of special praise and recognition; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, A bilingual publication, La Prensa has been an
 1-6     unfailing source of information to residents in the San Antonio
 1-7     area for half a  century; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, Mr. Duran's significant accomplishments are a source
 1-9     of tremendous pride to his devoted wife, Amelia, as well as their
1-10     seven children; and
1-11           WHEREAS, One of the greatest assets of any democracy is an
1-12     informed public; through his work as publisher of La Prensa, Tino
1-13     Duran has sought to fill this vital need and his achievements are
1-14     indeed worthy of special  recognition at this time; now, therefore,
1-15     be it
1-16           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-17     Legislature hereby pay tribute to Tino Duran for his significant
1-18     contributions to the San Antonio community and extend to him
1-19     sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness in the
1-20     future; and, be it further
1-21           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-22     prepared for Mr. Duran as an expression of high regard by the Texas
1-23     House of Representatives.
