By Gutierrez H.R. No. 308 76R5677 GMW-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor 1-2 Chester D. Ralston for his 55 continuous years of service as a 1-3 real estate broker; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Born March 22, 1915, in Kankakee, Illinois, 1-5 Mr. Ralston moved to McAllen in 1928, graduating from McAllen High 1-6 School in 1933 and from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi in 1936; 1-7 and 1-8 WHEREAS, From 1940 to 1944 Mr. Ralston worked as a management 1-9 analyst for the War Department at Fort Sam Houston and Memphis army 1-10 depots before returning to McAllen in August 1944 and entering the 1-11 family real estate business; he has held his brokers' license 1-12 continuously since joining the profession, ably meeting the real 1-13 estate needs of his many valued clients for more than five decades; 1-14 and 1-15 WHEREAS, This respected individual served as president of the 1-16 McAllen Board of Realtors in 1959 and was granted life membership 1-17 in the McAllen Board in 1987; in recognition of his many years of 1-18 dedicated real estate brokerage, Mr. Ralston will be honored by the 1-19 Texas Real Estate Commission as part of its 50th anniversary; and 1-20 WHEREAS, Throughout his remarkable career, Mr. Ralston has 1-21 distinguished himself as a hardworking real estate broker of 1-22 ability and integrity, and it is truly fitting that he be honored 1-23 at this time; now, therefore, be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 2-1 Legislature hereby honor Chester D. Ralston on his 55 continuous 2-2 years as a real estate broker in McAllen and extend to him sincere 2-3 best wishes for continued success and happiness in the years to 2-4 come; and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for Mr. Ralston as an expression of high regard by the 2-7 Texas House of Representatives.
