R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Beverly Bush has served the citizens of Clear Lake
 1-2     as general manager of the Clear Lake Community Association and, on
 1-3     the occasion of her retirement, it is indeed appropriate to
 1-4     recognize her for her exceptional service; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Mrs. Bush joined the association in April 1976, and
 1-6     for more than two decades she has held the positions of secretary,
 1-7     program director, and general manager, working tirelessly to expand
 1-8     the association's involvement in the community; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, With an annual budget of $1.5 million, the
1-10     association manages park facilities and coordinates a variety of
1-11     recreational activities for the citizens of Clear Lake and the
1-12     surrounding area; included are a recreation center with
1-13     indoor/outdoor swimming pools, a gymnasium, tennis courts, a weight
1-14     room, and meeting rooms as well as community activities such as
1-15     language classes, aerobics, athletic leagues, dance lessons, and
1-16     karate lessons; and
1-17           WHEREAS, Mrs. Bush's outstanding leadership has enabled the
1-18     association to significantly enhance the high quality of life in
1-19     Clear Lake and, although her vision will be greatly missed by her
1-20     colleagues, her many years of dutiful service will not soon be
1-21     forgotten; now, therefore, be it
1-22           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-23     Legislature hereby commend Beverly Bush for her noteworthy
1-24     leadership and dedication to the Clear Lake Community Association
 2-1     and extend to her best wishes for continued success and happiness;
 2-2     and, be it further
 2-3           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-4     prepared for Mrs. Bush as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 2-5     House of Representatives.
