R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Mark Wilson has earned the prestigious rank of Eagle 1-2 Scout, and this noteworthy distinction is indeed worthy of special 1-3 praise and recognition; and 1-4 WHEREAS, The son of Mary and Daryl Wilson, this admirable 1-5 young man is an academic standout at Barbers Hill High School in 1-6 Mont Belvieu, where he also participates in the anchor club and is 1-7 a member of the basketball, football, and track teams; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Mr. Wilson previously achieved the scouting honor of 1-9 the Order of the Arrow and has served Troop 105 as a patrol leader, 1-10 assistant senior patrol leader, and librarian, as well as being 1-11 active with his church youth group and choir; for his Eagle Scout 1-12 project, he built much needed shelves in the church's Sunday school 1-13 rooms and also assisted in other renovation efforts; and 1-14 WHEREAS, On February 28, 1999, his proud family and the 1-15 scouts, leaders, and members of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 1-16 105, will convene an Eagle Scout Court of Honor at Central Church 1-17 of Christ in Baytown to commemorate his impressive accomplishment; 1-18 and 1-19 WHEREAS, In completing the rigorous qualifications necessary 1-20 to attain the rank of Eagle Scout, Mr. Wilson has demonstrated 1-21 superior ability, dedication, and judgment, and as this talented 1-22 young man embraces a future bright with promise, it is indeed 1-23 fitting that he be recognized for his most recent accolade; now, 1-24 therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 2-2 Legislature hereby congratulate Mark Wilson for attaining the rank 2-3 of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued 2-4 success and happiness; and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for Mr. Wilson as an expression of high regard by the 2-7 Texas House of Representatives.
