                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas Region of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is
 1-2     widely acclaimed and esteemed for its support of academic
 1-3     excellence at two-year colleges across the state; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, This estimable organization is conducting its
 1-5     regional convention in Austin April 8-11, 1999; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives endorses the
 1-7     goals and ideals of Phi Theta Kappa and wishes the organization
 1-8     success with its regional convention; now, therefore, be it
 1-9           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-10     Legislature, in accordance with the house rules of procedure and
1-11     policies of the House Administration Committee, hereby grant the
1-12     Texas Region of Phi Theta Kappa permission to use the chambers of
1-13     the house of representatives in the State Capitol on April 10,
1-14     1999, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., unless the Texas House of
1-15     Representatives is in session on that date.
