R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is indeed cause for
 1-2     celebration, and on February 19, 1999, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Chamberlain
 1-3     observed this milestone with a dinner in a local restaurant hosted
 1-4     by family and friends; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, United in matrimony on February 19, 1949, in
 1-6     Ontario, Canada, this devoted couple lived in Snyder before moving
 1-7     to Midland in 1973; Mr. Chamberlain is a retired employee of
 1-8     Southwestern Bell Telephone; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, The Chamberlains have been blessed with a large and
1-10     loving family, including children Bonnie Ward, Belinda Moore,
1-11     Christine NuChurch, Mark Chamberlain, Gordon Chamberlain, and the
1-12     late Roy Chamberlain, Jr., as well as 18 grandchildren and 13
1-13     great-grandchildren; and
1-14           WHEREAS, For half a century Mr. and Mrs. Chamberlain have
1-15     shared a warm and affectionate relationship filled with many happy
1-16     times and cherished family memories, and it is truly fitting that
1-17     they be recognized at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby honor Mr. and Mrs. Roy Chamberlain on their 50th
1-20     wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
1-21     happiness in the years to come; and, be it further
1-22           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-23     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Chamberlain as an expression of high
1-24     regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
