No. 363 76R8619 JBR-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Larry David Carroll has been a dedicated state 1-2 employee for more than 26 years, and, on the occasion of his 1-3 retirement, it is indeed appropriate to recognize him for his 1-4 exceptional service to the citizens of Texas; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Mr. Carroll's tenure with the state began on 1-6 February 26, 1973, with the Texas Department of Public Welfare; 1-7 since that time, he has distinguished himself as an inspector of 1-8 nursing homes, as a health facility specialist, and as a regional 1-9 quality assurance coordinator for the Texas Department of Human 1-10 Services; and 1-11 WHEREAS, A registered sanitarian, Mr. Carroll has long held 1-12 positions of leadership as a regional representative for statewide 1-13 committees and policy development work groups and most recently 1-14 played a pivotal role in the redesign of the long-term care 1-15 regulatory computer system; and 1-16 WHEREAS, This esteemed gentleman has lent his wisdom and 1-17 insight to regional and state office staff as questions have arisen 1-18 through the years about licensure, adult day-care facilities, team 1-19 leader responsibilities, sanitation, and enforcement actions and 1-20 about policies and procedures too numerous to mention; and 1-21 WHEREAS, With his commitment to excellence, Larry David 1-22 Carroll has made a positive difference in the lives of many 1-23 residents of long-term care facilities in the Lone Star State, and 1-24 although his dedication, knowledge, and experience will be sorely 2-1 missed by his colleagues, his many years of exceptional service 2-2 will not soon be forgotten; now, therefore, be it 2-3 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 2-4 Legislature hereby commend Larry David Carroll for his outstanding 2-5 tenure with the Texas Department of Human Services and the State of 2-6 Texas; and, be it further 2-7 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-8 prepared for Mr. Carroll as an expression of high regard by the 2-9 Texas House of Representatives.
