R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives takes great pride 1-2 in recognizing Ariana Alicia Reyes for completing the Stairway of 1-3 the Stars achievement program at Faith Assembly of God Church; and 1-4 WHEREAS, The Stairway of the Stars achievement program is 1-5 part of the Missionettes club, which prepares young women for 1-6 future involvement in women's ministries by educating them about 1-7 the teachings of Jesus Christ; and 1-8 WHEREAS, During the course of this four-year program, Miss 1-9 Reyes has met all of the goals required by the church, and her 1-10 personal commitment to the completion of the course is a statement 1-11 of her service to God, her church, her community, her family, and 1-12 her fellow "Stars"; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Miss Reyes is a sixth grade student at Wilson 1-14 Intermediate School who is a member of the art club and the band 1-15 and has been on the honor roll for the past two years; she is an 1-16 active member of Faith Assembly of God Church, where she acts in 1-17 plays and, with the youth group, ministers to the homeless and 1-18 distributes flyers inviting people to the church; and 1-19 WHEREAS, This young woman possesses an uncommon character 1-20 that is evidenced by her devotion to her church, her family, and to 1-21 academics; her impressive dedication as a young Texan instills 1-22 pride in all who know and love her, and it is indeed a privilege to 1-23 honor her at this time; now, therefore, be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 2-1 Legislature hereby commend Ariana Alicia Reyes for completing the 2-2 Stairway of the Stars achievement program and extend to her sincere 2-3 best wishes for success and happiness in all her future endeavors; 2-4 and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for Miss Reyes as an expression of high regard by the 2-7 Texas House of Representatives.
