                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives takes great pride
 1-2     in recognizing Jennifer Nicole Shoemaker for completing the
 1-3     Stairway of the Stars achievement program at Faith Assembly of God
 1-4     Church; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, The Stairway of the Stars achievement program is
 1-6     part of the Missionettes club, which prepares young women for
 1-7     future involvement in women's ministries by educating them about
 1-8     the teachings of Jesus Christ; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, During the course of this four-year program, Miss
1-10     Shoemaker has met all of the goals required by the church, and her
1-11     personal commitment to the completion of the course is a statement
1-12     of her service to God, her church, her community, her family, and
1-13     her fellow "Stars"; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Miss Shoemaker is a seventh grade student at Truitt
1-15     Junior High School who has been listed on the honor roll and is in
1-16     advanced art class; she is an active member of Faith Assembly of
1-17     God Church where she participates in choir and drama and works to
1-18     improve the quality of life in her community through nursing home
1-19     visits; and
1-20           WHEREAS, This young woman possesses an uncommon character
1-21     that is evidenced by her devotion to her church, her family, and to
1-22     academics; her impressive dedication as a young Texan instills
1-23     pride in all who know and love her, and it is indeed a privilege to
1-24     honor her at this time; now, therefore, be it
 2-1           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
 2-2     Legislature hereby commend Jennifer Nicole Shoemaker for completing
 2-3     the Stairway of the Stars achievement program and extend to her
 2-4     sincere best wishes for success and happiness in all her future
 2-5     endeavors; and, be it further
 2-6           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-7     prepared for Miss Shoemaker as an expression of high regard by the
 2-8     Texas House of Representatives.
