R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, On March 11, 1999, members of Leadership Greater 1-2 Keller will journey to the State Capitol, and this outstanding 1-3 organization is indeed worthy of special recognition; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Since its creation by the Greater Keller Chamber of 1-5 Commerce in 1998, the group has trained emerging young leaders in 1-6 commitment to their community; members address team building, 1-7 community structure, arts, economic development, education and 1-8 technology, health care, transportation, and the environment; and 1-9 WHEREAS, By working on local boards and commissions, 1-10 graduates become an integral part of the civic, business, and 1-11 professional community; and 1-12 WHEREAS, The visiting members of the Leadership Class 1-13 include Randal Badgwell, James Johnson, Steve Meek, Dara Boswell, 1-14 Cheri McDuff, Caren Sorrells, Wanice Brown, James Cowey, Tony 1-15 Eggleston, Amy Fuqua, Deborah Morris, Bob Templeton, Karen Werner, 1-16 and Sam Luxton; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Members of the Leadership Board present include 1-18 Matt King, Charles Reid, Debbie Blake, Susan Ford, and Woody 1-19 Mitchell; and 1-20 WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Greater Keller have 1-21 demonstrated true dedication to their community, and as they 1-22 continue their pursuit of their goals it is fitting that they be 1-23 honored for their significant contributions; now, therefore, be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th 2-1 Texas Legislature hereby commend the members of Leadership Greater 2-2 Keller for their community involvement and extend to them a warm 2-3 welcome on the occasion of their visit to the State Capitol; and, 2-4 be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for the members of Leadership Greater Keller as an 2-7 expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
