By Uher H.R. No. 439 76R6835 JBR-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The family and many friends of the Honorable W. Tip 1-2 Hall, Jr., were greatly saddened by his passing and we join them in 1-3 mourning the loss of this notable Texan; and 1-4 WHEREAS, A native of Denton County, this prominent gentleman 1-5 successfully ran for a seat in the Texas House of Representatives 1-6 and served the citizens of Denton County with the utmost 1-7 distinction during the 65th and 66th Texas legislatures; and 1-8 WHEREAS, In addition to his impressive political career, 1-9 Mr. Hall was a generous public servant who contributed to society 1-10 as a teacher and administrator until his retirement, after which 1-11 time he embarked upon an agricultural career as a dairyman and 1-12 stock farmer; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Mr. Hall provided an outstanding example of 1-14 citizenship and service to others, and though his insight will be 1-15 greatly missed, he will surely be remembered with great affection 1-16 and admiration for many years to come; now, therefore, be it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 1-18 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Tip Hall, Jr., and 1-19 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family and to the 1-20 many friends of this extraordinary gentleman; and, be it further 1-21 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-22 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of 1-23 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of the 1-24 Honorable W. Tip Hall, Jr.
