                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Jose and Hermelida Amesquita of San Antonio have
 1-2     rendered significant service to their community and their exemplary
 1-3     efforts in this regard are indeed commendable; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Truly a force for positive change, the Amesquitas
 1-5     devote their time and energy to such worthy organizations as the
 1-6     South San Antonio Independent School District, the Harlandale
 1-7     Independent School District, Boy Scout Troop 250, the Knights of
 1-8     Columbus Council 7409, and the Catholic War Veterans; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, They are also active members of their neighborhood
1-10     association, and consistently strive to make the south side of San
1-11     Antonio a better place in which to live, work, and raise a family;
1-12     and
1-13           WHEREAS, Jose and Hermelida Amesquita exemplify the qualities
1-14     of civic pride and dedication to others, and it is indeed
1-15     appropriate that they be honored for their inspirational
1-16     accomplishments at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-17           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-18     Legislature hereby congratulate Jose and Hermelida Amesquita for
1-19     their many notable achievements in behalf of their fellow citizens
1-20     and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success in
1-21     their endeavors; and, be it further
1-22           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-23     prepared for Jose and Hermelida Amesquita as an expression of high
1-24     regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
