R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The family and many friends of Abel Alvarado Hinojos 1-2 were saddened by his death on March 30, 1998, at the age of 81, and 1-3 we join them in mourning their loss; and 1-4 WHEREAS, A native Texan, Mr. Hinojos was born November 30, 1-5 1916, in Lajitas and eventually relocated to Alpine, where he was 1-6 employed as a maintenance man for the city and the Alpine school 1-7 district; and 1-8 WHEREAS, During the course of his life he was also employed 1-9 as a mine worker and on the railroads, and he brought to all these 1-10 endeavors his characteristic diligence and dedication; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Well known as a vital and valued member of the 1-12 community and as a loving husband and father, Abel Hinojos will be 1-13 greatly missed, but his unique spirit will live on in the hearts of 1-14 all those fortunate enough to have known him; now, therefore, be it 1-15 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 1-16 Legislature pay tribute to the life of Abel Alvarado Hinojos and 1-17 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, 1-18 Rosa Hinojos; to his sons, Merced Abel Hinojos, Ramon Hinojos, 1-19 Macaraio Hinojos, and Pedro Hinojos; to his daughters, Manuela 1-20 Rodriquez, Cruz Martinez, and Rosie Roach; to his brother, Santiago 1-21 Hinojos; to his sisters, Josefa Ortiz and Isabel Villa; to his 24 1-22 grandchildren; to his 27 great-grandchildren; and to his 1-23 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many other 1-24 family members and friends; and, be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-2 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-3 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-4 Abel Alvarado Hinojos.
