No. 542 76R1061 JTR-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The family and many friends of Stephen Daniel 1-2 Lindsey were greatly saddened by his passing on August 15, 1998, at 1-3 the age of 20, and we join them in mourning this tragic loss; and 1-4 WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Del Rio, Mr. Lindsey was born 1-5 there on April 1, 1978, and was a graduate of Del Rio High School, 1-6 and his was a familiar and welcome presence during his time there; 1-7 and 1-8 WHEREAS, The untimely death of a young person is a terrible 1-9 loss for family and community alike, and although the profound pain 1-10 of Mr. Lindsey's passing can never be fully assuaged, his loved 1-11 ones may take solace in the heartfelt compassion and solicitude of 1-12 their friends and neighbors throughout the Del Rio area; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Although he is deeply missed, Stephen Lindsey's 1-14 unique spirit lives on in the hearts of all those fortunate enough 1-15 to have known him, and they will forever treasure their precious 1-16 memories of this fine young man; now, therefore, be it 1-17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 1-18 Legislature hereby honor the memory of Stephen Daniel Lindsey and 1-19 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his 1-20 mother, Marilyn R. Casson; to his father, Dr. Terry M. Lindsey, and 1-21 his wife, Leigh Ann Lindsey; to his sisters, Mary Ellen Porter and 1-22 Elizabeth Anne Childress; to his brother, Michael Nolan Lindsey; to 1-23 his half-siblings, Jackson Louis Lindsey, Terrence Houston Lindsey, 1-24 Austin Alonzo Lindsey, Laramie Louise Lindsey, and Clovis Maxine 2-1 Lindsey; to his grandparents, Jack and Helen Richardson; and to his 2-2 niece, Kelsey Anne Childress; and, be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-4 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-5 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-6 Stephen Daniel Lindsey.
