R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The passing of Clarence Allen Chandler, Jr., of
 1-2     Three Rivers on March 30, 1998, at the age of 67, brought a great
 1-3     loss to the family and many friends of this esteemed gentleman; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Mr. Chandler was a widely respected civil engineer
 1-5     and a devout member of the Church of Christ; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, He was a man of great faith and compassion, and his
 1-7     strength of character enabled him to grow profoundly in his own
 1-8     life and to improve the lives of others; although his insight and
 1-9     guidance will be deeply missed, his unique spirit will surely live
1-10     on in the hearts of those who knew him; now, therefore, be it
1-11           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-12     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Clarence Allen
1-13     Chandler, Jr., and extend utmost sympathy to the members of his
1-14     family: to his wife, Patsy Chandler; to his sons, Clarence Chandler
1-15     III, Leslie Howell Chandler, Carl Ross Chandler, Billy Mike
1-16     Chandler, and Terry Wayne Chandler; to his daughter, Mary Nell
1-17     Burleson; to his mother, Lillie Chandler; to his brothers, Glynn
1-18     Chandler and Gene Chandler; to his sister, Mary Ellen Kimball; to
1-19     his 24 grandchildren; to his three great-grandchildren; and to the
1-20     many other people whose lives were  touched by this exceptional
1-21     person; and, be it further
1-22           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-23     prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas
1-24     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
 2-1     Clarence Allen Chandler, Jr.
