No. 550 76R2084 BE-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The passing of Brenda Ann Roberts Trudeau on October 1-2 28, 1998, at the age of 52, has brought a great loss to the family 1-3 and many friends of this lifelong West Texan; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Mrs. Trudeau was born in Alpine on July 26, 1946, 1-5 the daughter of Roy and Gwin Stillwell, and was graduated from high 1-6 school there; after earning a degree from the University of 1-7 Houston, she began a long and successful teaching career; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Throughout her years of working with students, she 1-9 continued to pursue her own education; she earned a master's degree 1-10 in education and was professionally certified in secondary English 1-11 language arts as well as mid-management administration; and 1-12 WHEREAS, The dedication Mrs. Trudeau inspired in her students 1-13 and coworkers touched countless lives across the state; from her 1-14 first assignment as a substitute teacher in Mathis to her role as 1-15 principal at Presidio Franco Middle School, she made dynamic and 1-16 positive changes in Texas schools; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Though her abilities as a teacher and an 1-18 administrator and her love as a mother and wife will all be deeply 1-19 missed, her spirit will surely live on in the hearts and memories 1-20 of all who were privileged to know her, and it is indeed fitting to 1-21 honor her memory at this time; now, therefore, be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 1-23 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Brenda Ann Roberts 1-24 Trudeau and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: 2-1 to her husband, Juan Llanez; to her children, Geromi A. Trudeau, 2-2 Walker T. Trudeau, and Kristin L. Calk; to her brothers, Oran Scot 2-3 Roberts and Randy Roberts; to her sisters, Debbie Graham and Shawna 2-4 Cross; and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it 2-5 further 2-6 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-7 prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas 2-8 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-9 Brenda Ann Roberts Trudeau.
