                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The recent passing of Audrey Beatrice Jordan on
 1-2     March 19, 1999, at the age of 51, brought a great loss to the
 1-3     family and friends of this beloved individual; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Born November 10, 1947, Ms. Jordan graduated from
 1-5     Bay City High School before attending Wharton County Junior College
 1-6     and beginning an esteemed career at Matagorda General Hospital in
 1-7     Bay City; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, While working for Matagorda General Hospital, this
 1-9     skilled woman held several important positions, including  head
1-10     nurse of the medical and intensive care units, emergency department
1-11     patient care coordinator, and, most recently, hospital patient care
1-12     coordinator; she also served as director of nursing at Matagorda
1-13     House; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Ms. Jordan was an active member of Enterprise
1-15     Baptist Church, where she sang in the sanctuary choir and worked
1-16     with the pastoral support ministry; in addition, this fine woman
1-17     furthered her community involvement as a member of the Daughters in
1-18     Progress Club; and
1-19           WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share the love and
1-20     friendship of Audrey Beatrice Jordan will long miss her presence
1-21     and guidance, and she will surely be remembered with great
1-22     affection and admiration for many years to come; now, therefore, be
1-23     it
1-24           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
 2-1     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Audrey Beatrice
 2-2     Jordan and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family:
 2-3     to her daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Robert Brown; to her
 2-4     mother, Hazel Casey Johnson; to her godson, Enoch Roberson; and to
 2-5     the many other relatives and friends of this admirable woman; and,
 2-6     be it further
 2-7           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-8     prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas
 2-9     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
2-10     Audrey Beatrice Jordan.
