No. 627 76R11624 MDM-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Children's Medical Center of Dallas will host the 1-2 "Children's Goes Naturally Texas" event on April 15, 1999, and it 1-3 is appropriate that the members of this chamber commend this worthy 1-4 institution; and 1-5 WHEREAS, One purpose of this unique event is to spotlight 1-6 "The Barbie Doll Goes Naturally Texas" exhibit on display 1-7 throughout April in the medical center's admitting area; designed 1-8 to inform Texans about the Texas Department of Agriculture's 1-9 Naturally TEXAS program, which highlights natural fibers and 1-10 designers from the Lone Star State, the child-friendly program will 1-11 offer the center's young patients an ideal opportunity to learn 1-12 more about Texas; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Centered in Moore Auditorium, the day's activities 1-14 will take place from 10 a.m. to noon and will include such varied 1-15 entertainment as Jerry Young recounting Tall Texas Tales, a 1-16 performance by the Lake Highlands Square Dance Club, and A Trip 1-17 Through Texas, a life-size board game the children will be invited 1-18 to play; and 1-19 WHEREAS, By sponsoring this delightful event, Children's 1-20 Medical Center of Dallas is creating an entertaining and 1-21 educational diversion for its young patients while publicizing the 1-22 state's plentiful resources and talent in the areas of agriculture 1-23 and fashion design; now, therefore, be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 2-1 Legislature hereby congratulate the administrators, staff, and 2-2 volunteers from Children's Medical Center of Dallas for promoting 2-3 Texas products and talent through the "Children's Goes Naturally 2-4 Texas" event and extend to them sincere gratitude for their 2-5 continued efforts in behalf of the children and families they 2-6 serve; and, be it further 2-7 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-8 prepared for prominent display at Children's Medical Center of 2-9 Dallas as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of 2-10 Representatives.
