No. 660 76R12065 JHS-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Trevor Hall, of Mission, is to be commended for his 1-2 perseverance in the completion of his Eagle Scout service project, 1-3 for this young man has displayed a level of dedication and resolve 1-4 far beyond his years; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Mr. Hall's service project entailed constructing 1-6 eight bunk beds for a dormitory at Casa Amparo de la Mujer, a 1-7 girls' orphanage in Reynosa, Mexico, and this charitable deed has 1-8 proven to be of great benefit to the residents of the orphanage; 1-9 and 1-10 WHEREAS, This international undertaking received the support 1-11 of Mr. Hall's fellow scouts and several local businesses, as well 1-12 as that of his parents, Geoff and Amy Hall, and although many 1-13 difficulties were encountered along the way, the completion of the 1-14 project stands as a testament to the strength of purpose and 1-15 determination of this noteworthy individual; and 1-16 WHEREAS, A senior at Mission High School, Mr. Hall is a 1-17 valued member of Boy Scout Troop No. 78; his passion for this 1-18 project stems from his active involvement with St. John's Episcopal 1-19 Church, which has provided assistance for the orphanage, and the 1-20 leadership skills he has exhibited in this endeavor are truly 1-21 exemplary; and 1-22 WHEREAS, Scouting's proud tradition has produced many 1-23 exceptional young men, and it is safe to say that Trevor Hall is 1-24 one such individual who will continue to play a role in the growth 2-1 and success of the Lone Star State as we enter the 21st century; 2-2 now, therefore, be it 2-3 RESOLVED, That Trevor Hall be commended for completing his 2-4 Eagle Scout service project in the face of international obstacles 2-5 and that he be extended warmest best wishes for future happiness 2-6 and success; and, be it further 2-7 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-8 prepared for Mr. Hall as an expression of high regard by the Texas 2-9 House of Representatives.
