                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
 1-2     Raymond Campbell for his 54 years of outstanding service as a
 1-3     waiter at Gaido's restaurant in Galveston; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, This esteemed gentleman began working for Gaido's in
 1-5     1945 and quickly became a leader of the restaurant's staff; in his
 1-6     heyday he would continually amaze patrons with his superior memory,
 1-7     knowing the menu by heart and never needing pen and paper to
 1-8     remember their orders; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, Nicknamed "Captain Ray," Mr. Campbell was at one
1-10     point responsible for hiring the waiters and bus boys for the
1-11     entire restaurant; today he continues to work 30 hours a week and
1-12     has a host of loyal customers that wait specifically to be seated
1-13     in his section; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Throughout more than five decades at Gaido's
1-15     restaurant, Raymond Campbell has distinguished himself through his
1-16     diligence, dedication, and professionalism, and it is truly fitting
1-17     that he be honored at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby honor Raymond Campbell for his many years of
1-20     dedicated service to Gaido's restaurant and extend to him sincere
1-21     best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
1-22           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-23     prepared for Mr. Campbell as an expression of high regard by the
1-24     Texas House of Representatives.
