R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
 1-2     Michele D.  Moore of Arlington for her many outstanding
 1-3     contributions to her community and the State of Texas; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Valedictorian of her high school class, this
 1-5     exemplary scholar earned her bachelor's degree in social work from
 1-6     The University of Texas at Austin and continued her pursuit of
 1-7     academic excellence at The University of Texas at Arlington,
 1-8     attaining her master's degree in social work from that fine
 1-9     institution; and
1-10           WHEREAS, She has been a valued worker at AIDS Arms, Inc., the
1-11     Dallas Public Schools Alternative Certification Program, the Texas
1-12     Department of Mental Health/Mental Retardation, and is currently
1-13     employed at The University of Texas at Arlington as a counselor;
1-14     and
1-15           WHEREAS, Ms. Moore has also served as a legislative intern
1-16     for State Representative Glenn Lewis and has been an invaluable
1-17     worker in that capacity, having ably performed such varied duties
1-18     as researching and analyzing bills, presenting reports, and serving
1-19     as a liaison with various state agencies; and
1-20           WHEREAS, Among the many worthy organizations to which she has
1-21     devoted her time and talents through the years are the United Way,
1-22     the Tarrant Area Gerontological Society, the Aging Resource
1-23     Development Coalition, and Legislative Advocacy; and
1-24           WHEREAS, Michele D. Moore has demonstrated a profound
 2-1     dedication to excellence in all her pursuits, and it is indeed
 2-2     appropriate that this inspirational individual be honored at this
 2-3     time; now, therefore, be it
 2-4           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
 2-5     Legislature hereby commend Michele D. Moore on her many notable
 2-6     accomplishments and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
 2-7     success and happiness; and, be it further
 2-8           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-9     prepared for Ms. Moore as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2-10     House of Representatives.
