                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
 1-2     the employees of Huntsman Corporation's Oxides and Olefins Plant in
 1-3     Port Neches, Texas, for their impressive safety record of more than
 1-4     six million hours worked without a lost time injury; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, This exceptional achievement is a telling example of
 1-6     the company's commitment to the Chemical Manufacturers
 1-7     Association's Responsible Care initiative and its health and safety
 1-8     codes; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, All members of the Huntsman team strive to  reduce
1-10     risks in the workplace; routine practices in which employees engage
1-11     include the identification and evaluation of potential hazards,
1-12     equipment and job task safety reviews, and the development and
1-13     review of health and safety programs; and
1-14           WHEREAS, The largest privately held chemical company in the
1-15     United States, Huntsman Corporation manufactures basic products for
1-16     the chemical, plastics, detergent, textile, high-tech, personal
1-17     care, rubber, and packaging industries; and
1-18           WHEREAS, In Port Neches, the 650 associates at the Huntsman
1-19     Corporation Oxides and Olefins Plant have shown great dedication
1-20     and teamwork in maintaining a safe workplace, and they are indeed
1-21     deserving of special recognition at this time; now, therefore, be
1-22     it
1-23           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-24     Legislature hereby congratulate the employees of Huntsman
 2-1     Corporation's Oxides and Olefins Plant in Port Neches for their
 2-2     remarkable safety record and extend to them sincere best wishes for
 2-3     continued success; and, be it further
 2-4           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-5     prepared for Huntsman Corporation's Oxides and Olefins Plant as an
 2-6     expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
