R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives takes great pride
 1-2     in honoring the students of Cluster C 3-5 at Houston's Rice
 1-3     School/La Escuela Rice for their commendable interest in the
 1-4     legislative process; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, The Rice School/La Escuela Rice is a lottery
 1-6     transfer school educating children from all across the Houston
 1-7     Independent School District; with students enrolled in kindergarten
 1-8     through the eighth grade, the school employs some of the  most
 1-9     innovative and effective educational practices in Texas today; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Cluster C 3-5 comprises a group of third, fourth,
1-11     and fifth graders studying Texas history and government under the
1-12     direction of lead teacher JoEllen Schuleman and her fellow
1-13     instructors, Miss McLemore, Mrs. Jensen, Mrs. Gomez, and Ms. Rios;
1-14     and
1-15           WHEREAS, With the guidance of principal Sharon
1-16     Valear-Robison, this dedicated team is getting Texas schoolchildren
1-17     interested in state government as youngsters, which  is key to
1-18     keeping them involved as adults, and it is a pleasure to recognize
1-19     them at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby commend the students and staff of Cluster C 3-5
1-22     at the Rice School/La Escuela Rice for their admirable efforts to
1-23     learn more about the government of the Lone Star State and extend
1-24     to them warmest best wishes for great happiness and success in the
 2-1     years to come; and, be it further
 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-3     prepared for the Rice School/La Escuela Rice as an expression of
 2-4     highest regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
