No. 736 76R13254 JBR-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Centerville Elementary School is providing an 1-2 outstanding education to its young charges, and it is a pleasure to 1-3 welcome a number of students from the school today on the occasion 1-4 of their visit to Austin; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Sixth-grade students from Centerville have been 1-6 traveling to the State Capitol for the past 10 years and during the 1-7 1999 trip they will also have the opportunity to visit the Lyndon 1-8 B. Johnson Library and the State Cemetery as they gain a greater 1-9 understanding of the grand history of the Lone Star State; and 1-10 WHEREAS, An agricultural community situated on IH45 between 1-11 Dallas and Houston, Centerville opened its first school in 1851, 1-12 and since that time its educational system has evolved into the 1-13 Centerville Independent School District; and 1-14 WHEREAS, With the able guidance of Superintendent Bobbie 1-15 Hardee, Principal Robert Campbell, and its dedicated teachers, 1-16 Centerville Elementary School has provided generations of Texas 1-17 schoolchildren with the tools they need to become happy and 1-18 productive members of society, and their commitment will 1-19 undoubtedly continue to play a vital role in preparing the students 1-20 of this community for leadership roles well into the coming 1-21 century; now, therefore, be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 1-23 Legislature hereby honor the faculty and sixth-grade students of 1-24 Centerville Elementary School and extend to them sincere best 2-1 wishes for continued success; and, be it further 2-2 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-3 prepared for the visiting students of Centerville Elementary School 2-4 as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of 2-5 Representatives.
