                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, On October 2, 1999, the Texas House of
 1-2     Representatives will join with citizens across the state in
 1-3     celebrating HealthExpo, an education and entertainment event that
 1-4     will help inform Texans about health, fitness, nutrition, wellness,
 1-5     and biotechnology; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, HealthExpo will feature a unique layout with six
 1-7     interactive entertainment zones:  Every Body, In Your Genes,
 1-8     Nutrition Neighborhood, Sensory Center, The Well Zone, and the
 1-9     Internet Pavilion; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Drawing on the expertise of our state's health care
1-11     policymakers, medical professionals, business leaders, and
1-12     citizenry, HealthExpo will build tremendous goodwill and bring
1-13     international attention to Texas; and
1-14           WHEREAS, HealthExpo is under the able leadership of Cynthia
1-15     Tsai, chairman, and Anna Lynn Screpetis, president, who work in
1-16     conjunction with an outstanding advisory board of medical and
1-17     business professionals, and the efforts of these dedicated
1-18     individuals are truly worthy of special legislative recognition at
1-19     this time; now, therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby recognize October 2, 1999, as HealthExpo Day in
1-22     Texas; and, be it further
1-23           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-24     prepared for the organizers of HealthExpo as an expression of high
 2-1     regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
