R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives takes great pride 1-2 in recognizing Lisa Daly of Bedford, for her tremendous efforts in 1-3 behalf of her fellow citizens indeed merit special legislative 1-4 recognition; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Daly moved to Bedford from Okinawa, Japan, 1-6 seven years ago with her husband of 22 years, Mark, and their 1-7 children, Christy and Alex; in addition to her roles as successful 1-8 wife and mother, Mrs. Daly tutors area students in math during her 1-9 spare time; she holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a 1-10 master's degree in business and finance; and 1-11 WHEREAS, In 1996, Mrs. Daly was elected to the Bedford City 1-12 Council, Place 4, and through her work on the Bedford budget, in 1-13 dealing with city officers and the public, and especially as a 1-14 liaison to the Parks Board and the Senior Citizens Center, this 1-15 exemplary woman has proven herself to be an able and admirable 1-16 leader; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Mrs. Daly has decided not to run for reelection to 1-18 the council and will instead spend more time with her family and 1-19 devote more energy to volunteer projects, such as Project 1-20 Graduation and other school activities; and 1-21 WHEREAS, Her commitment and dedication will be deeply missed 1-22 by her fellow council members, for her notable service has been 1-23 important to the success of Bedford; as she retires from the city 1-24 council, it is fitting to honor her remarkable achievements and to 2-1 wish her well; now, therefore, be it 2-2 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 2-3 Legislature hereby commend Lisa Daly for her outstanding service to 2-4 the city and residents of Bedford and extend to her and her proud 2-5 family warmest best wishes for even greater success and happiness 2-6 in the years ahead; and, be it further 2-7 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-8 prepared for Mrs. Daly as an expression of highest regard by the 2-9 Texas House of Representatives.
