                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, El Paso's Winford and Helen Louise Rushing will
 1-2     celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on June 25, 1999, and this
 1-3     occasion is truly worthy of special legislative recognition; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, United in matrimony on June 25, 1939, Mr. and
 1-5     Mrs. Rushing will be honored at a reception on June 26, 1999, at
 1-6     the Vista Hills Country Club; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, These native Texans have resided in El Paso since
 1-8     1936, and their strong and loving union has been blessed with three
 1-9     children, B. Katherine, Helen Ruth, and Kenneth; their family has
1-10     since grown to include seven grandchildren and eight
1-11     great-grandchildren, for whom their marriage is undoubtedly an
1-12     inspiration; and
1-13           WHEREAS, For 60 years, Winford and Helen Louise Rushing have
1-14     shared a relationship built on love, honor, and mutual respect, and
1-15     it is indeed a privilege to pay tribute to this devoted couple and
1-16     to recognize this grand achievement; now, therefore, be it
1-17           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-18     Legislature hereby honor Winford and Helen Louise Rushing on the
1-19     occasion of their diamond wedding anniversary and extend to them
1-20     warmest best wishes for many more years of joyful companionship;
1-21     and, be it further
1-22           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-23     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Rushing to commemorate this event and as
1-24     an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
