R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Jimmy Dale Stried of Round 1-2 Rock on April 7, 1999, at the age of 47, has brought a great loss 1-3 to the many friends and relatives of this beloved gentleman; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Born on June 15, 1951, to Berger Richard and 1-5 Virginia Lochte Stried, he was a lifelong resident of the Austin 1-6 area and a devoted family man who enjoyed a happy and rewarding 1-7 relationship with his wife, Connie Hardin Stried, and took great 1-8 pride in his two daughters, Samantha and Stephanie; and 1-9 WHEREAS, He was known for his zest for life and his 1-10 commitment to his family and friends; his passion for sports led 1-11 him to coach girls softball teams and he was a faithful supporter 1-12 of his daughters' volleyball and softball teams; he also enjoyed 1-13 playing sports himself and he was an enthusiastic fan of the Texas 1-14 A&M Aggies; and 1-15 WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share the friendship of 1-16 Mr. Stried will long miss his presence, and he will surely be 1-17 remembered with great affection and admiration for many years to 1-18 come; now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas 1-20 Legislature hereby honor the memory of Jimmy Dale Stried and extend 1-21 sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Connie 1-22 Stried; to his daughters, Samantha and Stephanie Stried; to his 1-23 mother, Virginia Stried; to his sisters and their families, Delores 1-24 Borek and her husband, Ted, and Shirley Holmquist and her husband, 2-1 Robbie, and their children, Kirsta and Kris; to his parents-in-law, 2-2 Carol and Carolyn Hardin; and to the many other friends and 2-3 relatives of this fine man; and, be it further 2-4 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-5 prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas 2-6 House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of 2-7 Jimmy Dale Stried.
