R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Seniors from El Paso's Jefferson High School will
 1-2     graduate on May 27, 1999, and these young scholars are to be
 1-3     congratulated on attaining this worthwhile goal; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Earning a high school diploma represents the
 1-5     completion of a 12-year commitment to academics and offers an
 1-6     opportunity to continue on the road to higher education or to begin
 1-7     a career as a vital member of the workforce; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, Regardless of the direction chosen by these
 1-9     outstanding students, they will always be able to look back with
1-10     pride and remember their years as Jefferson High School Silver
1-11     Foxes, and the members of this chamber are indeed proud to pay
1-12     tribute to them for their dedication to the pursuit of academic
1-13     achievement; now, therefore, be it
1-14           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-15     Legislature hereby commend the graduating seniors of Jefferson High
1-16     School and extend to them best wishes for continued success and
1-17     happiness in all their endeavors; and, be it further
1-18           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-19     prepared for the senior class of Jefferson High School as an
1-20     expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
