                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Eight Houston students recently joined an elite
 1-2     group when they achieved perfect scores on the Scholastic Aptitude
 1-3     Test, and these exemplary young people are truly deserving of
 1-4     legislative recognition for their hard work and dedication in this
 1-5     pursuit; and
 1-6           WHEREAS, Instructor Roger Israni prepared these exemplary
 1-7     students for their college-entrance examinations, drilling them on
 1-8     both the math and verbal sections of the test and honing their
 1-9     test-taking skills, and his successful efforts in this endeavor are
1-10     equally worthy of special tribute; and
1-11           WHEREAS, The "Great Eight" include Memorial High School's
1-12     Alisa Lee and Sarah Pak, Clements High School's Johnny Wong, Dulles
1-13     High School's Victor Ban, Hastings High School's Vik Vaz, Bellaire
1-14     High School's Aaron Huang and Rishi Israni, and St. John's School's
1-15     Kristin Hung; and
1-16           WHEREAS, These young scholars have accepted the
1-17     responsibilities associated with academic excellence, dedicating
1-18     themselves to the rigorous demands necessary to attain perfection,
1-19     and it is a privilege to recognize them and their instructor,
1-20     Mr. Israni, at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-21           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-22     Legislature hereby honor Roger Israni and his students for their
1-23     exceptional accomplishment and extend to them warmest best wishes
1-24     for success and happiness in the future; and, be it further
 2-1           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-2     prepared for Mr. Israni and each of these outstanding students as
 2-3     an expression of highest regard by the Texas House of
 2-4     Representatives.
