                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, On March 17, 1999, David L. Gatling retired from
 1-2     Ticona LLC in Pasadena, drawing to a close 40 years of outstanding
 1-3     service to that respected Texas-based business; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Recognized by his co-workers for his commitment and
 1-5     integrity throughout their productive association, Mr. Gatling has
 1-6     been a key leader in the company's GUR business, and outside the
 1-7     office his active community involvement and leadership have also
 1-8     contributed to the betterment of the Lone Star State; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, For four decades, David Gatling has set high
1-10     standards to which all business professionals may aspire, and he is
1-11     indeed deserving of special recognition at this time; now,
1-12     therefore, be it
1-13           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 76th Texas
1-14     Legislature hereby commend David L. Gatling for his exemplary
1-15     contributions to the long-term strategic success of Ticona LLC and
1-16     extend to him sincere best wishes for a happy and rewarding
1-17     retirement; and, be it further
1-18           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-19     prepared for Mr. Gatling as an expression of high regard by the
1-20     Texas House of Representatives.
